Learn the unique approach of flowing patterns into 3D space. Many times, it is much easier to build geometry on a flat surface and then flow it onto a 3D surface. 

You will learn two ways to do this. First, we will look at the AutoBase and SmartFlow commands. In combination with PolarArray, we get precise control. 

Also, learn how to use SmartPatterns for a quicker (although slightly less precise) solution. If we add a dummy surface, we can achieve great results. 

Finally, I will introduce to you the concept of the surface coordinate system – UVW. This is crucial to all things 3D, especially in advanced modeling techniques.
